I have been frustrated for many years over research and development of cancer for cures and treatment. There are 11 major health centers in the U.S. with approximately $4.8 - $5.2 billion dollars annually. Of that, over $1 billion dollars goes to sponsoring cancer research annually!

It's hard for the right hand to know what the left had is doing. I am proposing that a research center be centrally located where all cancer research takes place. Sharing of information and techniques could be shared quickly and ensure that the same research is not taking place in other parts of the country.

I am not paranoid in believing there is too much political pressure to thwart research because of the extreme hit medical practitioners, drug companies and on-going treatment centers would lose money. Money seems to be the major driving force behind much of the research.

I know that this is a radical thought, but shouldn't we all have radical thoughts concerning these things? Thank you for listening to me. I am going to write President Obama on the issue.
