Nanorevolution in India
India is about to change the way it’s citizens live… Improved life standard, easiness to find solutions to health problems, agricultural improvement and much more is about to come.
“Nanorevolution will be much more significant than the IT boom. Just a few countries in the world are leaning on nanotechnology and nanomedicine at the moment, and India is about to join them. Many people don’t realize the true potential of nanotechnology and nanomedicine, but I think India is on the right path.” says Katesh Katti, a professor from USA.
Katti was in India on a 2-day seminar called “Nanotechnology – A gateway to a promising future” organized by SDM College.
It’s also been reported that the Indian ministry of technology decided to spend Rs 1000 crore in the next 5 years for research in the nanotechnology and nanomedicine area.
As Katti said, nanotechnology and nanomedicine have so much potential. As an example, he named the silver nanoparticles who can actually remove all bacterias from an environment. He also noted that nanomedicine is about to change the world — many diseases such as AIDS and cancer could be history if everything goes well.
